About us
The PELD Oeste do Pará team is composed of researchers dedicated to long-term ecological monitoring in the Amazon, bringing together specialists from different areas, as well as undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students who work directly in field activities, data analysis, and scientific production. Under the coordination of Rodrigo Fadini and the vice-coordination of Clarissa Rosa, the group includes professionals from UFOPA, INPA, and partner institutions, working collaboratively to maintain permanent plots, conduct inventories, document biodiversity, and strengthen the training of new scientists. It is a multidisciplinary team that combines experience, energy, and a strong commitment to research and the conservation of ecosystems in western Pará. Meet the team below:

Rodrigo Fadini
UFOPA
Biologist, with a master’s degree in plant biology and a PhD in ecology. He has been a professor at UFOPA since 2010, and his research lines include: (1) mistletoe ecology, (2) interactions between herbivores and plants, and (3) impacts of timber forest management activities on fauna.
Vice-Coordinator
Clarissa Rosa
INPA
Ecologist, with a master’s and PhD in applied ecology. She has been a researcher at INPA since 2019. Her main research lines include: wildlife management, biological invasions, road ecology, community ecology, vertebrate ecology, fauna–flora interactions, land-use change, climate change, ethnoecology, and biodiversity synthesis.
