One of the goals of the Western Pará PELD program is to encourage ecotourism as a long-term sustainable alternative for local traditional communities, contributing to biodiversity conservation and landscape preservation. To achieve this goal, we promote meetings and events on environmental topics, offer courses and workshops aimed at training the scientific community and society in general, and support the organization of scientific events.
